Month by Month Guide to Yard Maintance

Are you like me ... never know when to do what to your yard? And you like doing it yourself, but feel unsure exactly what and when to do it. Well I found online a great website: Sparkman's Nursery. They have a great calendar on just what you need to do. Here is a sample and when you read this check out the entire year. I suggest that you print it out then keep it or make notes on your own calendar what to do when. I hope this helps you. I know it did me.



January

• Time to plant trees (fall and winter is best time)
• When planting use root stimulator and condition the soil
• Prune trees and add sealer to large cuts
• Water ... very important so the freeze will not damage the tree

February

• Start your pre-emergent program to keep weed seed from germinating.
